Do I have to commit to a certain length of time?

Our rental terms are month-to-month, with one exception.   If you rent after the 10th of the month, you will pay for the days remaining in that month and the next month’s rent, after that rent is due the 1st of each month.

Do I need insurance?

It is highly recommended, though not required, that you have insurance protection for your personal belongings.  Check with your insurance agent for coverage under your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy.

Do you provide a lock?

Yes, each rental includes a security lock and one key.  There is a $10 fee for replacement locks.

What hours do I have access to my storage unit?

You have access to your storage unit 24/7, however, the units do not have inside lights, so we recommend you access your unit during daylight hours.

Do you prorate the rent?

Yes, we prorate rent for the first month when you move in, however, we do not prorate the month you move out.

Do you provide outdoor storage?

No, we do not have any outdoor storage available.

Can I transfer to a different size as my needs change?

Yes, you can transfer to a different size if your needs change.  We will make billing adjustments as needed.

What are my payment options?

We accept payment by check to our mailing address; Brimfield Mini Storage, PO Box 602, Brimfield, IL  61517.  Sorry, we do not accept credit card payments at this time.

Do you mail monthly statements?

No, we do not send out monthly statements for your rent.

Can I opt to use my own lock instead of the one provided?

Yes, however, we recommend you use the security lock we provide.

Are there restrictions as to what I can store?

Yes, storage of hazardous materials or illegal items is not allowed in our units.
